Chocolate
chunk blondies
Ingredients:
1/2cup of butter softened, 1 cup of firmly packed brown sugar, ½ cup of
granulated sugar,2 teaspoons of vanilla extract, 2 large eggs, 2 cups of
flour,2 teaspoons of baking powder, ½ teaspoon of salt, 1(11.5-ounce)package
of semisweet chocolate chunks, 1 cup of
chopped toasted pecans (optional).
You preheat
the oven to 350 degrees and spray a 13x9 inch baking pan. You first, beat
butter, sugars, and vanilla at medium speed with a mixer in a large bowl until
fluffy. Second, you add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each
addition.
Then in a
medium bowl you whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt until combined.
Then you slowly add it to the butter mixture at medium speed until well
combined. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans if you want. (Hint make sure
before you toast the pecans you chop them and then you can add them later
before you bake if you need to.) I mixed the chocolate and the pecans together
plus I forgot to chop the pecans before I toasted them. It still tasted
good. Spread the batter in the pan and
bake it for 20 to 25 min or until golden brown. Enjoy! The recipe is found in
Paula Deen’s Magazine December 2013 PG. 65.
These sure tasted good Kenzie!
